E-store automation removed 50+ hours of manual labour per week
PauseDigital partnered with Baltika Group to streamline and automate the technical foundation of the new Ivo Nikkolo eCommerce store. While the storefront was developed by our design and development partners, we were responsible for building robust back-end integrations and automations to connect all key systems—Directo, Montonio, Cleveron, Zalando, loyalty programs, and return flows—ensuring a smooth, efficient, and error-resistant shopping experience for both customers and staff.
Background & challenge
Launching a new WooCommerce store presented an opportunity to eliminate manual tasks and data duplication. Baltika’s key goals were to minimize human error, automate repetitive tasks, connect online and offline workflows, and deliver an improved customer experience, especially around returns and loyalty.

The solution
PauseDigital developed a highly automated and deeply integrated system architecture for the Ivo Nikkolo online store, including:
- Directo ERP integration for syncing products, inventory, orders, and returns in real-time.
- Automated order processing, with all new orders instantly pushed to Directo with relevant customer details.
- Return automation: After completing a return form, the customer receives automated instructions, and a credit invoice is created directly in Directo.
- Cleveron integration: Orders shipped to Cleveron lockers are automatically linked and dispatched through our interface.
- Montonio payments integration for seamless checkout experiences.
- Complete Zalando integration: Enables central management of orders, inventory, and sales from Zalando.
- IN Circle loyalty program development: Users can view their loyalty level, accumulated points, order history (including from physical stores), and unlock tiered offers.
- Real-time stock visibility across physical stores, showing which location has the product available.
- Admin panel allowing Baltika’s internal team to configure certain settings independently.
Impact
The collaboration with Baltika began in 2022 and is ongoing, with new enhancements continuously in development. The result is a scalable, maintainable system that:
- Dramatically reduces manual work
- Improves operational speed and accuracy
- Enhances customer experience with real-time data and automation
- Enables unique features like a tiered loyalty program and intelligent returns handling
